We all have that growing stack of books we mean to read –now’s your chance to finally dive in! The Classics Book Club offers the perfect opportunity to revisit timeless works (or discover them for the first time) in a friendly and intellectually curious atmosphere.
The club is led by Dharanija Madhavan, a passionate reader originally from Chennai, India, who has called Heidelberg home since 2010. With a wide-ranging taste that spans fiction and non-fiction, romance and political theory – and, of course, the classics – Dharanija brings energy, insight, and a love of discussion to every meeting.
When she’s not immersed in literature, Dharanija works as a scientific coordinator at a graduate school, drawing on her background as a molecular and cancer biologist – partly to fund her ever-growing personal library!
