Family Story Time Special

/ via dai /

Children’s books accompany most people on their journey to adulthood. Being read to, whether before bedtime, in kindergarten or at school, is especially memorable. At this Family Story Time Special, families are invited to share their memories and create new ones.

While the children (3–6 years) listen to a reading of “Who’s Got a Normal Family?”, parents are invited to a conversation with Dr. Anna Kirchner and Prof. Dr. Sabina Pauen of the research project “Who Cares?”. How are families represented in children’s books, both today and in the past? What can science do for families? What is on their minds?

All visitors are invited to bring a children’s book to discuss during the event, whether it’s a recent one or from their own childhood.
